Croydon, Addington
For this project, Arch Extension were commissioned to introduce a ground floor bathroom and create a single story extension. We were able to submit the building proposals to Croydon council under permitted development which allows for extensions up to 4m for terraced properties. The approved proposals created a single storey extension to house the new kitchen which works around some of the existing site limitations of an existing manhole which the client did not want to relocate.

The rear extension was designed with cost saving in mind and we specified a robust GRP roof covering which provide fast and long-lasting waterproofing for flat roofs and a great alternative to the traditional felt asphalt roofing or single ply membrane room which are costly to repair and prone to puncturing easily. With large bi-folding doors to the rear and a large skylight fitted centrally the space is filled with natural light and a perfect link into the garden area.
Arch extension worked closely with the client to advice a suitable building professional to create the build once planning and building regulations drawings approval were gained. We appointed a private building control officer for assurance that there were no delays in the build process sign-offs and though-out the build maintained close contact with both the client and building professional to help provide any guidance where needed.
The building work was successfully completed in Oct 22.
